Japanese Knotweed
Japanese knotweed is an invasive species of plant which spreads rapidly and overwhelms other plants. It is the fastest growing plant in the UK.
Damp
The three main areas of dampness in buildings are rain penetration, condensation and rising damp.
Gutters
If your property does not have enough downpipes the guttering may not be able to cope with large amounts of rainwater and remove it from the gutter quick enough.
Cracks
Cracks can be caused by clay shrinkage, land slip, vibration, subsidence, settlement, and heave within the ground.
Mould
Mould will grow in places with a lot of moisture, such as around leaks in roofs, windows, or pipes, or where there has been flooding.
Asbestos
Asbestos poses a significant risk to builders and workers’ health, it can be found in any building built pre-2000 and is responsible for around 5000 deaths a year.
